Out of the hospital

Hip hip hoooray we are out of the hospital and staying at some apartments in Tampa right around the corner from Moffit. Mom is doing well she finally had to shave the rest of her hair because it started falling out really bad, but on the plus side she tried on a really cute wig today that I am trying to talk her into getting. The apartment is very nice and much more comfortable than the hospital. Hoping this is our last week here so we can get this pretty little lady home in time for thanksgiving. Other than that all other results have been good. Thank you everyone and we hope to see you soon

Ok back to the blog

Sorry about the lack of posting the past few days. Here is where we are, Mom had to get a platelet & blood transfusion on Monday and Tuesday which is what most patients have to do at one point of this process or another. We are hoping to move to the apartments this week, just waiting on her numbers to go up. The amount of pills she has to take is ridiculous and it has been bothering her stomach lately which caused some vomiting last night. Other than that just a lot of fatigue and boredom. The hardest part of this process for us I think is not being to do anything for her to ease her comfort. We have to make her eat but nothing sounds or taste good to her she gets very restless but is to tired to do anything. We will get thru this, 2010 hurry up and get here!

Things are going

Everything is still going pretty well at good ol Moffit. Mom is switching off from the Iv meds and back to the pill form in hopes her stomach can handle it and she won't have to be hooked up for so many hours.. The Doctors are very excited about the progress she has made thus far and say she is the poster child for this treatment. Hopefully we will be moving into the apartments mid week where she can be a little more comfortable and get some much needed rest. Thank you for the support everyone!
